ClickFunnels Charges $297/Month and Offers Zero White-Labelling for Agencies
ClickFunnels dominates the sales funnel SaaS market but charges $97–$297/month, enforces strict template limitations, and offers no white-labelling for agencies building funnels for clients. Shopify merchants wanting to run high-converting checkout funnels had to bolt ClickFunnels onto their store with a clunky integration, losing control of the customer journey at the most critical conversion point.
Agencies and entrepreneurs needed a platform with equivalent funnel-building capabilities, full white-label custom domain support, native Stripe and PayPal integration, Shopify product sync, and a subscription model they could price themselves.
Our Solution
A GrapeJS-Powered Funnel Builder with Native Checkout and Shopify Sync
We architected Scalecart as a full-featured funnel platform: a Django 5 backend, a React + Vite dashboard, and a dedicated GrapeJS rendering service.
The funnel builder uses GrapeJS with 18+ pre-built HTML templates. Users customise templates in the visual editor, and the Node.js microservice converts GrapeJS project JSON to rendered HTML/CSS for live page serving. Funnels are published to white-label custom domains (DNS-verified WhiteLabel records), with per-funnel head/footer code injection.
The checkout engine handles Stripe PaymentIntent for card payments — with stored Stripe payment methods enabling one-click post-purchase upsells (two post-purchase upsell steps per funnel). PayPal is supported as an alternative processor. The coupon system validates codes against per-product applicability, redemption limits, and expiry dates, recording every CouponClaim with discount amount saved.
Shopify OAuth + REST API 2026-01 integration syncs product catalogues with variants, SEO fields, and collections. Platform subscriptions run on Stripe Checkout Sessions and webhooks. The affiliate pipeline tracks referrals end-to-end. FunnelTracking with composite indexes powers the visitor analytics dashboard.

Scalecart delivered a production-ready ClickFunnels alternative with every feature agencies and entrepreneurs need — at a fraction of ClickFunnels' pricing and without the white-labelling restrictions that make ClickFunnels unusable for agency client work.
Agencies can deploy Scalecart to their own domain, brand it as their own product, set their own pricing, and build funnels for clients on white-label custom domains — something ClickFunnels explicitly prohibits. The 18+ professionally designed templates gave users immediate value without design work, while the GrapeJS drag-and-drop editor let them customise every element visually.
The three-step upsell engine — main product, pre-purchase order bump, and two post-purchase upsell steps — replicated ClickFunnels' highest-converting funnel pattern with native Stripe saved-card one-click upsells. Shopify merchants replaced their clunky ClickFunnels–Shopify integration with a native, single-platform experience. The affiliate system and subscription billing made Scalecart commercially self-sustaining from day one.
